What we collect
When you start checkout or sign up for tips, we collect your first name and email, and your mobile number if you choose to give it. We also note which page and campaign link brought you here, and the website that referred you.
If you tick a consent box, we keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to and when, as Canadian anti-spam law (CASL) requires. Signing up for tips on the sales page counts as consent to receive emails, as stated under that button.
When you pay, Stripe collects your payment details. We receive your email, name, and what you bought. We never receive or store your full card number.
How we use it
- To deliver what you bought (download links and course access emails).
- To offer the optional course right after checkout, charged to the payment method you just used only if you click yes.
- To send marketing emails, only if you opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- Your order confirmation and download links are always emailed to you, whether or not you opted in to marketing.
- If our email to you bounces or is marked as spam, we note that on your order so we can show you your links on our site instead.
- We store your mobile number and SMS choice, but this site does not send text messages. TODO: update before you start texting.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run this site: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting, file and video delivery, and Turnstile spam protection on our forms), Resend (transactional email), and TODO: Kit or MailerLite (marketing email). We don't sell your information.
Cookies
We set one cookie, only if you buy the course, to keep you signed in to it. No advertising cookies. TODO: update if you add analytics or a pixel.
